More often that not most businesses think all they ever need to have printed are business cards and maybe a banner.  But how well does that really work?  If you have a retail store targeting a specific theme (such as antiques or western clothes) wouldn't it be great if your customers could grab a brochure that tells them what you might be bringing to the store?  Or maybe inform them of upcoming events?

Having things available to tell people more than just the name of your business is important.  They like having something tengible in their hands that connects them to you (your business).  The closer they feel, the more at home they feel, the more likely they will be to revisit which obviously increases the potential for profit.

There are several printed items that are standard but you may not have even thought of:

  • Business Cards - Obvious uses.
  • Marketing Devices (pens, coffee mugs, calendars) to hand out as free items that contain your colors and logo.
  • Rack Cards that are link large business cards but can contain a lot more information.  These can also be left at hotels, a local Chamber of Commerce, etc.
  • Postcards are a great way to reach a lot of people at once.  Be careful though, you have to make it interesting!
  • Car Decals are very important to advertising.  If you can get others to go along willingly, you can advertise your business everywhere with a very low advertising cost.
